The New York State Joint Commission on Public Ethics (“Commission”) today issued a call to concerned individuals, particularly members of the lobbying regulated community, seeking comments on the Notice of Proposed Rulemakings for Comprehensive Lobbying Regulations and Source of Funding Disclosure Regulations and participants for a public hearing on the regulations.
The hearing will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017, in Hearing Room A of the Legislative Office Building, 198 State Street (corner of South Swan Street), Albany, NY 12247, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
All public comments must be submitted by 5 p.m. on October 16, 2017 to Carol Quinn, Deputy Director of Lobbying Disclosure, at [email protected].
Testimony at the public hearing will be limited to 10 minutes per person to allow as many people as possible to speak. The Commission reserves the right to group speakers into panels.
Those wishing to present prepared testimony to the Commission at the public hearing are requested to notify Carol Quinn by email and submit that testimony by 5 pm on October 16, 2017. In this message, please include a copy of the testimony and provide a telephone number and email address. Speakers are also asked to bring 10 copies of their remarks to the hearing.
