NY.gov Account Merger Information

Beginning on May 17, 2022 from 8:00 p.m. – 11:55 p.m., the JCOPE Online Lobbying Application ("LA") is scheduled to participate in the NY.gov account consolidation initiative.  As a reminder, NY.gov is the portal which allows users access to many State online self-serve applications.  The purpose of this initiative is to allow users to merge multiple personal NY.gov accounts into a primary account that requires only a single username and password. 

NY.gov has provided a short instructional video, as well as relevant instructions to help impacted users streamline their account access.  

 

Helpful tips before you begin:

  • Accounts of different types cannot be merged.  NY.gov users will NOT be able to merge a personal account with a business or government account. Personal accounts may only be merged with other personal accounts.
  • The NY.gov username you login with will be considered the 'Primary' merger account.  Please login with the Username you would like to have all other NY.gov profiles merged with.
  • There is a five-minute timeout limit per page when completing the merger. If during the account merger process you experience a “session timed out” message, you will need to log out and log back in to NY.gov ID to reset the timer limit and start the process again.

If you are unable to access the JCOPE Lobbying Application after completing a profile merger, please contact the JCOPE helpdesk for assistance via email at [email protected] and label the email subject line 'NY.gov Profile Merger Issue'.
